{ finding comfort }

Good morning.

It was a busy weekend around these parts.  Friends in town on Friday, the plaza art fair on Saturday, conspiring yesterday to surprise a sweet friend with a scrubbed-down house, fresh laundry and flowers... ( I cannot tell you how wonderful that felt! )

new kicks for the dogs

Tell you what, though, my dogs are tired.

I may very well be one of the last people on Earth to read The Time Traveler's Wife.  I am about halfway through, and enjoying it very much.  It challenges me, as I am visual-tactile learner, and this book jumps makes me stop and process the chronology with every chapter.  I am happy to see Rachel McAdams will be playing the role of Clare in the movie.  A nice casting choice, I think.  ( Are you on goodreads yet?  I'm not very good about writing reviews, but I do keep my list current.  What a fun little place to be. )

And I am so very excited to have been invited to participate in a virtual quilting bee organized by this gal.  I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.  :)

Here's to a fresh start.  I love Mondays for that.

Mmmm ... I *loved* The Time Traveler's Wife. I will look forward to hearing what you think at the end!

Can you conspired with some friends and scrub my house? Pretty please? :-) (that is so very kind of you, but i'm learning that this is who you are.)

I haven't tried goodreads yet, but think it's a great idea. I love your photo of the shoes.

Ah, I've never read The Time Traveler's Wife before. I've yet to read the Lord of the Rings books =P Will get down to that when my semester's over. Take care!

I just finished that book a couple weeks ago -- read it in two days! I really liked it. Ooh, Rachel McAdams is a great choice for Clare! I'll have to see who they have for Henry. I was picturing Paul Rudd in my head for some reason.

We got as far as Ward Parkway on Saturday and turned around. It was just too crowded for us, and the girls needed a bath that night. So we missed the art fair this year...

I just checked on Henry: Eric Bana! No!!! That's not right.

I picked up that book a while back at a thrift store but haven't read it yet. I think I may try and start it.

Very excited about the bee!!!

Loved The Time Traveler's Wife. I am hopeless at remembering to update my Goodreads. But I did whizz over there and 'friend' you!

I adored Time Travelers Wife. One of the best books ever in my humble opinion. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Very cool kicks.

I'm going to have to stop at the library tomorrow. With all those votes of support I've got to read that book.

Random question...
Can I ask what color you painted the room in this post? Looking for inspiration and it looks great in the pict...

Sorry about the dogs...but we loved the visit and the art fair. Hope the to-do list is dwindling today! Tell little-one the purple girl is on her way! Love to all!!

I loved that book - 'very interesting perspective. I book I recently read and loved was "3 Cups of Tea", about a guy who went to Pakistan as a hiker and returned to build schools (esp. for girls).
By the way, I love your shoe picture!

How was the Plaza Art Fair this year??
