yet another apron
January 10, 2008
I think I am done making them for a while. Apparently, I am not the sweatshop type of person, because I am easily bored making the same kinds of projects over and over. It's a good thing I don't have plans to ever make a living off of my handicraft, because I'd be broke. This one went to the teacher, late. I hope she doesn't penalize me for tardiness.
It's cold and raining today and the fireplace in my office is glowing warm. Nice. Have I told you how much I love my new office downstairs? I really, really love it.
I took this picture below one morning in December, and I still can't believe how lucky I am to work there. That's my built-in desk, over to the right, and you can kind of see the glow of the fireplace behind the arm of the chair. It's wonderful to have a spot for all of our books -- and the STORAGE! Egads. You know you're a grown-up when you get all stupid happy about storage.
Confession time. It's January 10, and that tree is still up. And my window treatments are in a box in the middle of the floor. And have been for over a week.
THAT'S YOUR HOUSE?! man, i'm seething with jealousy. my living room just now doesn't have college furniture in it.
love the apron fabric!

Great room! Is that your basement or on the main floor? I love the fireplace.
Great apron, too!
